John the Turf was started in the north east of England in 1994.

Hello, my name is John Howe. My  business grew to a stage where we became one of the leading contractors in the North. I now find myself on the Suffolk/Cambridgeshire border (met and married a southern girl!).

We operate two teams, consisting of two people per team. Which in my opinion is an ideal size. Big enough to do do larger domestic work, but small enough to stay nimble and close to our client base.

The part of the job I still love is actually doing the job.

So rest assured the nice man with the strange accent, who gives you your quote (not estimate – I do hate the word estimate!) will be the same chap who is working in your garden, actually doing the job. Namely me!
